BEN-WAH

Benoit had their first show on Saturday, in Moorpark. I went to check out their live set, and decided to bring my camera and get a few shots while I was at it. The set fucking ruled. Plenty of "fuck you Moorpark," feedback, douchebag promoters, and smart-ass remarks from Dan. Simply put, Moorpark fucking sucks. I got some awesome shots of the set. The lighting in the place worked out pretty well(it was in a movie theater). As usual, here's my favorite shots of the night:

Let me know what you think, and as always, check out the rest on my flickr. Thanks for reading.

Mustache Moon Metal

Last night I hit up another Unborn show. As much as I dislike metal, I'm really getting into this band's new material. The whole jazz fusion thing is really original, and is just fun to listen to. I experimented with some different shutter speeds and panning techniques and managed to get some awesome pictures. I shot some film stuff too but I won't be able to post those for a while because I'm too broke to get them developed. Here's a couple of my favorite shots from the night.

Keep up with the Unborn, and the upcoming full-length album at their myspace(www.myspace.com/theunborn) and their blog(usandthemoon.blogspot.com). Dig the rest of the pictures on my flickr, along with some shots of Theoria. Thanks for reading.

Film Rebel

So, for the past week I've been shooting a lot of film with my mom's old film Rebel. It's my first time seriously using film, and I'm pretty happy with the results. Went and got four rolls developed today. $45...eesh. I'm sorta rushing out of the house, so I'm keeping the verbal portion of this post short. Just check out some of the pictures here and make sure to look at the rest on my flickr.

Thanks for reading.

Mystery Repeats

So, I've spent most of the past couple days just hanging out at home. It's been pretty refreshing. Most of the time was spent on pandora, and finding new musical addictions. The latest one is Pete Philly & Perquisite. They're a hip-hop duo out of Amsterdam, Holland. One DJ and one MC (insert blue scholars plug here). The DJ is a classically trained cellist and plays cello on most of the tracks. When they perform live they're joined by a sax, flute, stand-up bass, and some other instruments that have skipped my memory. I've had the album 'Mystery Repeats' on repeat for about 24 hours now, and it still isn't getting old. Check out this video for the album's title track, and hopefully you'll understand my obsession.
